Responsibilities
The Mayo Clinic Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is seeking a board-certified/eligible Brain Injury physiatrist to join an established subspecialty practice. Clinical practice opportunities are available across the continuum of care for patients with acquired brain injury or illness.
- Inpatient and outpatient acquired brain injury care in adults
- Faculty position with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine
- Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to be considered for the open PM&R Neurological Rehabilitation Division Chair position
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as practicing physician in interdisciplinary teams for acute care consult service, CARF-accredited rehabilitation unit, and CARF-accredited comprehensive outpatient program
- Standard scheduled with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage
- Clinical supervision and education of brain injury medicine fellow, PM&R residents, and medical students
- Option for involvement in Neuro rehabilitation clinic and Spasticity Clinic depending on candidate experience and/or interest
- FTE: 0.8–1.0 (64–80 hours per biweekly pay period)

Qualifications
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Minnesota
- Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Medicine

Compensation Detail
The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $202,000 to $663,037. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
