Job description: Our client is seeking a contract Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, which will align successfully with the organization.Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Des Moines
Pay Range: $38.00-$40.00/hourWhat’s the Job?
- Perform month-end close activities for financial statement preparation.
- Maintain and update master lists for customers and vendors.
- Monitor planned material and labor costs for new sales orders and set up in the ERP system.
- Prepare various month-end related journal entries.
- Assist with internal and external statutory audits.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software (Sage 100 preferred).
- Solid understanding of internal controls, process flows, and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
