Responsibilities
The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is looking for a rheumatologist to become part of their team. This position provides excellent opportunities in patient care, education, and research, with the benefit of working across disciplines. The Division has a Rheumatology Fellowship training program, the first one in the Valley, that started in 2022.
The Division seeks candidates who can add complementary interest and expertise in the areas of lupus, autoinflammatory disorders, and emerging rheumatologic diseases. Existing interest and expertise exist in the areas of Systemic Sclerosis, Vasculitis, Autoimmune Interstitial Lung Disease, Inflammatory Arthritis, Spondyloarthropathies, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound practice. The successful candidate will work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and patients while maintaining high a quality of patient care and high patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
A successful M.D. or D.O. applicant will fulfill the following requirements:
- Eligible candidates must be board certified/eligible in Rheumatology.
- Certification by the ABIM in Rheumatology.
- Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship.
- Record of interest and excellence in the clinical care of patients.
- Sincere interest and experience in resident and medical student education.
