A review meeting of the developmental departments was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar Haq, at the PWD Rest House in Banjosa. The meeting was attended by Senior Minister/Minister of Interior Colonel (Retd.) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Minister of Information Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, Ministers Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Sardar Amir Altaf, Government Advisor Ahmad Saghir, and others.

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Haq directed the officers of the departments that the funds released by the government are for the welfare of the public, and every penny should be visibly utilized for the people on the ground. He emphasized that officers are responsible for getting work done from their subordinates, and they will be held accountable for any negligence. If the poor performance of any department tarnishes the government’s reputation, the responsible officer will be held accountable. Ministers and senior officials should conduct surprise visits, and immediate action should be taken against officers or employees found guilty of negligence.

During the briefing of the Roads Department Poonch, the Prime Minister stated that the Tolipeer Road is a game-changer project, and the necessary funds are being provided, so the remaining work should be completed immediately. Separate funds have been allocated for patchwork on main roads, and their effective use should make travel more convenient. The Deputy Commissioner will cross-check the patchwork and report on it.

During the briefing of the PWD Buildings Division, the Prime Minister instructed that funds for the district jail building in Rawalakot have been provided, and the work must be completed before December so that the prisoners can be shifted there.

During the briefing of the Department of Electricity, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir strictly ordered that electricity theft must be fully stopped. He further said that despite the availability of cheap electricity, the lack of improvement in bill recovery rates is a matter of concern.

Senior Minister/Minister of Interior Colonel (Retd.) Waqar Noor, addressing the review meeting, said that the shortage of staff in educational institutions has been addressed, and now there will be no compromise on quality education. He emphasized ensuring attendance through the biometric system to avoid any disruption in education. He also mentioned that a social media app is being introduced to ensure better monitoring of all department officers and staff.
