Summary
This position is located at the Family Morale, Welfare, and Supervisory Recreation Fund Food/Beverage/Entertainment (FBE) at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA.

Duties

  • Plans and manages the day-to-day operations of a food service program Supervisory that includes sit-down restaurant dining and catering as a regular and substantial component of the overall food operation.
  • Develops daily, catering, and specialty menus, ensuring a balance of nutritional values and maintaining the quality of the total food service program.
  • Conducts regular inspections and evaluations to ensure safety, proper food storage,Supervisory kitchen sanitation, and overall operational efficiency.

  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background Supervisory requirements for the position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, including a Tier 1 background investigation and a medical examination.
  • Must be available to work a rotating shift schedule that includes mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to obtain (within the first six months of employment) and maintain Supervisory a Food Protection Manager Certification from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

  1. Culinary work experience in sit-down restaurant or catering operations, Supervisory demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to manage and supervise a food service program as described above.

OR

  1. Successful completion of an accredited culinary program may be substituted for work experience.
  2. Valid driver’s license to operate a government vehicle.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, as it has been determined that a PCS move is not in the Government’s interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials:
This is a pay-banded position.

  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure, and seasonal) employees may receive Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at a rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime work performed on Sunday, up to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday.
  • Night differential may also be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at a rate of 10% of the basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800 and 0600.

Incentives and Bonuses:
Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances:
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
