Salary: $80,000 – $85,000We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team at The Learning Experience – World Headquarters in Deerfield Beach, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a company dedicated to providing quality education and care for children.Responsibilities:
- Assists with monthly, quarterly and annual closings of corporate and managed centers which includes: bank reconciliations, voucher submissions, analysis of AR, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and fixed assets
- Assists in the financial reporting process for internal management reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
- Processing payroll for corporate employees
- Filing annual reports, resolving tax notices, obtaining PR tax state ID’s for new corporate and managed schools
- Participates in the preparation of the annual audit
- Maintain records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities, and maintaining the general ledger
- Reviews center financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Experience/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA certification a plus
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- NetSuite experience a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Expected salary: $80000 – 85000 per year
