Job description: Position Title: Staff Accountant | Reports to: Senior ControllerEmployment Status: Full-time | FLSA Status: Exempt | Pay Grade: SalaryDivision: IPM | Location: Dallas, TexasAbout the RoleThe Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day cross-functional operations and finance activities within the assigned division, focused on accounting. This role will ensure accurate and timely accounts payable and receivable management, daily and weekly accounting entries and transactions, as well as supporting month-end closing.Responsibilities
- Partner with accounting staff to execute cash applications and check processing activities.
- Collaborate with corporate staff to support month-end closing, pulling data for financial review preparation.
- Manage bank reconciliations, MRO purchase orders, and invoice matching.
- Process credit memos for the division.
- Complete NAV account setup and management for divisional customers and vendors.
- Ensure accurate portal uploads as defined by customers and vendors.
- Support customers, vendors, and corporate accounting by generating various reports.
- Provide system support for NAV and Insights, facilitating resolution of errors and corrections, as well as other needs that arise.
- Assist in research and reconciliations of vendor accounts.
- Act as a resource for integrations related to system implementations.
- Escalate matters to leadership as needed.
- Foster exceptional and collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
- At least 2 years in accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Experience with ERP, Microsoft Navision preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.
Physical & Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Most duties are performed in a climate-controlled environment. May occasionally perform tasks that are off-site which require varying forms of travel. Hazards require the use of personal protective equipment while in facility production areas.
