Copywriter
Company: Set Active
- Write compelling and on-brand copy for all of SET’s needs across a range of channels, including social media posts and stories, email/SMS. marketing, website, product descriptions, event collateral, special initiatives, press releases, and more.
- Develop main storytelling messaging, identify communications priorities for every drop, restock, and other brand/marketing initiatives, and distribute company-wide.
- Craft answers and edit interviews for press requests on behalf of the brand and founder.
- Develop marketing-driven talking points for team members for any live, filmed, or recorded footage.
- Spearhead the creation of all product, fabric, and color names + descriptions.
- Work with Sr. Brand Director to continuously evolve SET’s brand voice, ensuring that any changes in communication style are applied across all channels.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure accurate representation of the brand in all written materials.
- Audit the website and key brand assets (i.e. brand book) at least once a quarter, identifying outdated copy or messaging and updating accordingly.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and tone across all channels and touchpoints.
- Take direction from our Sr. Brand Director and apply it across various channels with a strong understanding of how to adapt to specific platforms, goals, and audiences.
- Collaborate with the brand team to develop creative concepts and ideas for campaigns, product launches, and special initiatives. Translate these ideas into a persuasive copy that resonates with the target audience and/or founder.
- Review and edit copy for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style. Ensure all written materials are error-free and meet the highest standards of quality.
- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, target audience demographics, and competitors to inform and enhance the effectiveness of your copy. Analyze data and insights to refine and optimize messaging strategies.
- Create and maintain system(s)/database(s) where all historical brand and product copy lives and can be accessed at any time by the team.
- Own Jasper and any other copy or communications tools used by the brand, ensuring that the tools/platforms are set up effectively and optimized by yourself and/or the team.
- Provide additional support to the Sr. Brand Director as needed, including responsibilities such as drafting correspondence, writing and circulating briefs, and more.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all relevant digital/marketing technologies, platforms, algorithms, SEO etc. to ensure copy optimizes the reach and overall effectiveness of the asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be available to work three days a week in our Beverly Hills office.
- 3+ years’ experience.
- Experience writing copy in-house at a DTC brand with a similar audience preferred.
- Equally good at emotional storytelling as you are at cracking jokes.
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of how to adapt an already-established brand voice for different platforms, goals, and audiences.
- Exceptional project management skills and ability to meet tight timelines in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Expected salary: $70000 – 90000 per year
