- Reviews all operations, mobility, contingency, and exercise plans to ensure combat readiness for the SF Squadron.
- Responsible for proper security, classification, and storage of classified documents.
- Oversees the coordination, review, and implementation of SF manning authorizations and military personnel assignments.
- Serves as the SF commander’s key staff member responsible for the overall management of the unit-training program by overseeing the planning, organizing, directing, operating, and evaluating all unit training related items.
- Serves as the subject matter expert and consultant to the unit commander on all matters pertaining to the availability and management of the SF training program to meet the needs of the organization and mission.
- Develops, administers, and oversees the management of the unit’s training programs to supervisors.
- Directs the certification testing (CERTEST) program.
- Forecasts and submits Deployment For Training requirements in coordination with SF commander to ANG NGB/A7.
- Conducts unit self-inspections and assessments.
- Plans, formulates, analyzes, and coordinates budget submissions.
- Represents SF at wing training meetings.
- When needed or directed, performs and enforces the full range of security forces duties within the military installation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels.
