Job description: Compensation Range:$43,888.00 – $68,773.43Position Summary:Hiring Salary Range: $43,888.00 to $48,276.80 depending on qualifications.The position provides front-line customer service and intake processing for students. The Online Advisors work on campus to assist and advise students regarding applications, registration, course selection, career development, graduation requirements, and transfer process and evaluations. The primary focus of this position is: (1) online advising for online students through Microsoft Teams (video conferencing) or other online technologies, (2) coordinating student outreach with the Online Learning Retention Coordinators, and (3) evaluating and promoting College-wide initiatives for academic planning (HawkGPS/ Edunav) to make recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the Online Advisors evaluate transcripts and perform degree and graduation audits. Advise current and prospective students on degrees offered by the College and provide general information regarding college policies and procedures which may include financial aid, eligibility for disability services and academic advising for admission requirements. This position may require some evening and weekend hours, particularly during peak registration periods. The advisor must provide high quality customer services to faculty, staff and students.Job Duties:
- Provides online academic advising for online students through Microsoft Teams (video conferencing) or other online technologies.

- Evaluates and promotes College-wide initiatives for academic planning (HawkGPS/ Edunav) to make recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the Online Academic Advisors.
- Evaluates transcripts and performs degree and graduation audits.
- Advises current and prospective online students on degrees offered by the College and provide general information regarding college policies and procedures which may include financial aid, eligibility for disability services and academic advising for admission requirements.
- Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in higher education. Knowledge of college admissions, registration and records policies and procedures. Previous experience in community college student services; specifically advising and understanding of financial aid processes. Advanced computer skills and the ability to provide student support and services online. Experience and knowledge of community college programs and student populations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
