Job description: Vaco has partnered with a Tech company in their search for a strong Staff Accountant with at least 2-3 years of GL experience to join their team starting March 25th! This role will begin as a contract position with the possibility of conversion to permanent down the road. General responsibilities will focus on day to day accounting activities and the company hopes this person is okay with some clerical work as neededPreferred Knowledge:
- QuickBooks experience
- Accounting Degree (okay with no Degree, but can offer more advancement with a BA)
- Reconciliations, AP/AR and Month End experience
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliancePrepare and file tax returnsEnter accounting related information into business logsInspect account books for efficiency and accuracyOrganize and update financial recordsRecommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenuePerform monthly bank settlementsPrepare documentation for external auditors
Expected salary: $28 – 35 per hour
