We invite you to apply to be a part of our University community!Job DescriptionThe Training Coordinator works closely with the Human Resources Learning and Organizational Development team to analyze, develop, implement, facilitate, and evaluate employee training and professional development programs. This position plays a key role in fostering a strengths-based culture through the CliftonStrengths program, enhancing workforce engagement, retention, and performance in alignment with the university’s mission. The coordinator also supports the Talent Management System (TMS) and plays a vital role in creating and delivering learning and engagement opportunities for staff and faculty across campus.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Design & Facilitation:
- Design, deliver, and facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid training to support organizational goals
- Lead sessions such as New Bengal Experience, New Staff/Faculty Orientation, CliftonStrengths, and other employee development programs, including leadership and supervisory training
- Contribute to broader HR initiatives
- Demonstrate strong initiative, self-direction, and professionalism in all responsibilities
Program Coordination & Communication:
- Plan and coordinate training events including campus-wide learning initiatives and informal professional development sessions
- Develop and distribute training materials (videos, handouts, web content, etc.) and market opportunities to drive participation
- Provide timely, customer-focused communication in person, over the phone or through the HR Training email account
Collaboration & Campus Engagement:
- Partner with subject matter experts, HR colleagues, and campus departments to ensure the effective delivery and promotion of training programs
- Represent Human Resources at campus events and serve as a primary point of contact for training-related inquiries
- May require minimal travel between university campuses or sites
Systems & Reporting:
- Maintain and track training using the Talent Management System
- Manage online learning platforms (e.g., Articulate), update HR training web pages, and organize digital resources
- Analyze feedback and training data to support continuous improvement
Employee Engagement & Recognition:
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including the planning and implementation of recognition events such as Employee Appreciation Week. Assist with logistics, nominations, and communications
All other reasonable job duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Two (2) years of experience coordinating training programs, adult learning initiatives, or event planning in a workplace or educational setting
- Experience designing and delivering training or presentations to diverse audiences in both in-person and virtual formats
- Ability to assess training needs, define learning objectives, develop instructional content, facilitate learning sessions, and evaluate program effectiveness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom or other video conferencing tools, e-learning content development, and learning or talent management systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Moodle)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues during training delivery and assist learners with varying levels of technical comfort
- Self-motivated and adaptable with a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting team goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education or public-sector HR environment
- Experience using HRIS platforms and managing digital training records or data systems
- Certified in CliftonStrengths or similar developmental frameworks
- Familiarity with Idaho state-mandated training or regulatory requirements
- Experience coordinating employee engagement or recognition events

Salary will be between $50,000 – $54,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
