Summary
About the Position:
This is an open continuous announcement used to fill multiple Nurse (Clinical/Obstetrics-Gynecology) positions at various locations. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and qualified candidates will be referred for consideration as vacancies arise.

🏥 Duties
As a Nurse (Clinical/Obstetrics-Gynecology), you will:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to adolescent and adult women throughout the lifespan, including their newborns.
- Serve as Charge Nurse on a rotating basis, providing oversight and guidance to the nursing team.
- Coordinate patient care and case management needs in collaboration with the case and outcomes management team.
- Act as a mentor, preceptor, and role model to both experienced and novice obstetric nurses.
- Participate in continuing education activities to maintain required competencies and up-to-date clinical knowledge.
- Provide evidence-based patient and family education to support informed care decisions.

Conditions of Employment:
- Must meet all suitability and background investigation requirements.
- May require immunizations, including proof of Hepatitis B vaccination.
- Must obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; other certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on assignment.
- Position may involve rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
- May require moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Drug screening and periodic random drug testing are mandatory for designated positions.
🎓 Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Education: Completion of a degree or diploma in professional nursing from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. (Attach transcripts.)
- Licensure: Must hold a current, active, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory, and must have passed the NCLEX.
- Experience: One full year of professional nursing experience providing care to obstetrics and gynecology patients, performing physical assessments, and delivering patient or staff education. This experience must be equivalent in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the federal service.
Note: No substitution of education for experience is permitted at this grade level.
