We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance and desktop support across a diverse user base. The technician will resolve desktop computing issues, install and maintain hardware/software, and provide support to both on-site and remote users. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of various operating systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.Key Responsibilities:Provide desktop support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issuesInstall, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheralsSupport both on-site and remote users with technical problem resolutionAnalyze, diagnose, and resolve system issues and document all findings and solutionsCollaborate with analysts, programmers, and application teams in development and support environmentsTest and assist in the development of technical documentation for software and hardware deploymentsUtilize Microsoft Office Suite and work within Microsoft, Novell, and Unix operating environmentsIdentify and resolve hardware malfunctions and provide recommendations for equipment replacements or upgradesMaintain accurate records of support activities, including service requests, problem resolution steps, and time trackingRequired Skills and Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of current experience in a desktop support roleProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Microsoft, Novell, and Unix operating systemsStrong customer service and troubleshooting skillsAbility to identify and correct hardware and software issues efficientlyFamiliarity with remote support tools and VPN technologiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple support tasksPreferred Qualifications:Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateExperience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy)Knowledge of additional office automation tools and enterprise-level desktop deployment toolsThanks & Regards,
