Duration: 1 YearJob Description:The Desktop Support and Field Engineer will deliver comprehensive technical support across both office and field environments. This hybrid role involves providing hands-on support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-driven, and comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced settings.Responsibilities:Field Operations & Desktop Support:Provide IT desktop support services at HERRC field sitesPerform break/fix tasks (e.g., laptops, printers, badging systems)Respond to user service requests and resolve incidentsSupport field operations with equipment setup and troubleshootingConduct hardware support and maintenance, including imaging and updatesManage asset inventory and maintain equipment recordsHandle pickup and delivery of hardware and suppliesAssist with warehouse organization and inventory trackingMaintain equipment and ensure readiness for deploymentUtilize VMS for tracking and managing field servicesMandatory Skills and Experience:Candidates without the following qualifications will not be considered.8+ years of experience providing IT and desktop supportProficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and commonly used business applicationsExperience with Active Directory, endpoint management, and ticketing systemsAbility to lift and transport hardware and equipment (up to 50 lbs)Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote or emergency field locationsStrong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasksComfortable working both independently and under pressure
