Join the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) at Pine Ridge School as a Science Teacher serving middle or high school students. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to fostering academic excellence, cultural identity, and personal growth for Native American students.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging daily lesson plans and instructional materials in Science aligned with academic standards.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessment tools to meet diverse student needs.
- Monitor and assess individual and group progress using standardized, oral, and other evaluative instruments.
- Create a supportive learning environment that promotes positive relationships and student self-esteem.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure student safety throughout the academic day.
- Supervise students during class and school-related activities.

✅ Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state-issued Science teaching license or certificate. Provisional/emergency certificates may be accepted per state guidelines.
- Must obtain appropriate state certification if certified in a different state, within two full contract terms.
- Must pass a background check and possess a valid state driver’s license.
Pay Level Qualifications
Salary depends on your educational background:
- Level 11: Bachelor’s Degree
- Level 12–13: Bachelor’s + Graduate Credits
- Level 14–16: Master’s Degree + Graduate Credits
- Level 17: Doctorate
