- Duties
– Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, delivery trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers
– Transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
– Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
– Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
– Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Qualifications
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
– Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
– Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
– Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for commercial driving
– Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargoRequired Skills/Abilities – Strong understanding of winch truck operations and winching techniques.
– Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on winch truck systems and equipment.
– Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in oil and gas field operations.
– Ability to recognize and mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
– Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
– Ability to follow instructions accurately and provide feedback on operational challenges.
– Good physical condition to handle the demands of lifting, securing, and maneuvering heavy equipment and materials.
– Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and rough terrain.
– Strong problem-solving skills to address mechanical issues, logistical challenges, and operational obstacles.
– Ability to make quick and informed decisions in emergencies.
– Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate load securing, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety standards.
– Careful documentation of operational and maintenance activities.
- Preferred Skills:
– Experience driving refrigerated trailers or tankers is a plus
