We are seeking a HR Generalist to join our team in Detroit. In this role, you will play a key part in talent acquisition, human resources, and office administrative functions, helping us to maintain our strong sense of belonging and well-being at work. You will be the glue to grow and build a great team in the US for a Norwegian company. This role requires you to wear multiple hats with ease and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do at …

Talent Acquisition:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and create effective recruitment strategies.
  • Source, identify, and engage top-tier candidates through various channels.
  • Conduct initial screenings to evaluate candidate qualification.
  • Manage the recruitment process end-to-end, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to recruitment, such as scheduling interviews, coordinating assessments, and maintaining candidate records.

HR Operations & Employee Relations:

  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Foster positive relationships with employees and address any HR-related concerns or inquiries.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and events to enhance workplace morale.
  • Support general HR administrative functions, including documentation, data entry, and file management.

Office Administration:

  • Manage office activities, including handling questions and deliveries, office budgets, etc.
  • Oversee office-related materials such as stationery and IT equipment.
  • Assist in keeping our accounting books in order, assuring quality payroll.
  • Collaborate with team and customers in event planning and product demos.

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Have 3+ experience in recruitment and/or HR roles.
  • Possess a strong understanding of recruitment and HR processes and best practices.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Are attentive to detail.
  • Are able to easily wear multiple hats.
  • Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally have experience at a start-up.
