PENNY WHISTLE showed a good turn of foot to come from off the pace to win on debut at Angers last time out. She has a penalty for that but can see off the challenge of Rose Gold who was a solid second at Chantilly on her racecourse bow.

LORD WELLINGTON caught the eye with an excellent second on comeback at Chantilly. He steps up slightly in class here but is clearly progressive over this trip so can deliver.

The Good Man was better than eighth suggests in solid company at Longchamp last time and holds place claims here, while Farout can go well despite top weight.

OCEAN ATLANTIQUE sets the clear standard after a close-up second behind potential star Pao Alto at Longchamp 17 days ago. He didn’t get the run of the race and has more to offer going up in trip.

Irska tackles stronger opposition after two easy wins, including over this distance at St Cloud latest. She needs more again, while Alfareeq was a solid third on comeback and is bred to excel over this distance.

BIONIC WOMAN was a good fourth in the Group 1 Marcel Boussac at the Arc meeting and was one of many Andre Fabre horses who looked very rusty on comeback. She wasn’t knocked about when fourth at Chantilly and will be much fitter. She should be well up to this Listed class.

Chorba is well bred and is another who needed her last start. Connections think a lot of her and she can show why here.

Golden Crown was nabbed on the line at Chantilly over this trip 18 days ago. She should be fitter for that and has place claims.

ZIYAD was beaten less than a length into second in this race 12 months ago. He stepped up to be beaten in a head bobber for the Grand Prix De St Cloud before scoring here. He came back with a fitness-boosting win at Chantilly in March and looks the one to beat.

French King has won Group 1s in Doha and Germany and relishes this trip. He was ninth in the Arc and looks the big danger.

Way To Paris ran a cracker over an inadequate 1m2f at Longchamp earlier this month. He’ll be happier at this distance and doesn’t have a lot to find on best form.

SESTILIO JET ran a cracker on comeback at Longchamp earlier this month. He ended up on what seemed the slowest part of the track but showed plenty of pace to finish half a length behind Batwan and a neck away from Gold Vibe.

All three should come on for that outing and fight out the finish again. These slightly quicker conditions are in the tip’s favour.

Batwan again looks the main threat and has really improved since dropping back to sprints, while Red Torch was fourth in that race when finishing strongly. He probably wants a bit further but can’t be ruled out.

CALCULATING looks the pick of these newcomers on paper. He is bred to be high class and comes from a top team in Stephane Pasquier and Pascal Bary.

ALIKOVA is bred to be a superstar being a Galileo colt out of the brilliant Goldikova. Maxime Guyon and Freddie Head are a potent partnership and she should be ready to go on debut.

VERITAS comes from the top team of Maxime Guyon and Andre Fabre. He’s gone close at Lyon and improved again at Chantilly when stepping up to this distance. He looks a couple of steps ahead of these rivals.

Kongastet is turned out quickly after a solid effort in claiming company at Vichy. He should be fit for that comeback and can hit the frame.
